Milestone in EMS Technology: ESA Partnership
- May 28, 2024
A major recognition and technological breakthrough: E-Fit has officially won the support of the European Space Agency's (ESA) Technology Broker program for its dry-electrode EMS (electro-muscle stimulation) developments.
Space-Fit: Muscle Preservation in Outer Space
In zero-gravity, astronauts' bodies face severe physical challenges, the most critical of which are muscle atrophy and bone density loss. Under the "Space-Fit" project, E-Fit is developing a dry-electrode, ultra-light technical suit that helps preserve astronauts' muscle mass and physical condition during long-term space travel.
Innovation on Earth and in Space
This space technology collaboration is not only vital for space exploration but also has a direct impact on Earth-based applications. E-Fit integrates the experience and technological patents gained during Space-Fit development into its consumer and professional products, allowing visitors to our studios to directly enjoy the benefits of technology designed for outer space.
"This recognition from ESA confirms that E-Fit's research and development division belongs to the global technological forefront. We are proud to be the first in the EMS industry to participate in such a level of space technology integration."
The new dry-electrode technology eliminates the need to pre-wet the electrodes, making training even faster, more comfortable, and more hygienic in both fitness and medical rehabilitation fields.
